Electronic Countermeasures worked with Seven Design Works to create a unique and sensitive visual experience for Joy Williams new tour, Venus. The visual experience of the show revolves around a set of semi-transparent walls and discs, designed by LeRoy Bennett and Tobias Rylander of Seven Design Works and fabricated by Atomic Design. Electronic Countermeasures, created the animated visuals by melding analog in-camera practical effects with digital compositing and procedural phenomenon. Designing these visuals for simultaneous front and rear projection created levels of depth and parallax movement that shifts with perspective of the viewer. The resulting design wraps Joy Williams and her band within an ephemeral light and videoscape that ebbs and flows with her music.
